“YOU NEED to pay attention to what you’re doing,” Logan snapped at Harris. “You aren’t in a screwball comedy. You’re going to be hanging from the top of a building next and messing your pants, scared for your life. Cracking jokes and acting like an idiot is not going to cut it.” He stormed off the set and out toward the door.

Brit was about to go after him, but Chris stopped him. “Brit, I think we’re going to add you to the next shot. There won’t be any lines, but I want your character to see this so we can use it later. You’ll need to get to wardrobe right away. Margot, check on Logan.”

Brit hurried out. He really wanted to see to Logan, but apparently he had gone in the opposite direction from the wardrobe area.

Brit got into costume and returned to the set, expecting to find Logan. Harris stood off to the side in tense conversation with Chris. Margot came in with Logan, whose eyes looked wild, his body so filled with tension he almost stomped rather than walked. Logan’s eyes blazed with anger, and his hands were clenched into fists.

“Let’s do one more take, and then we can move on and be done for the day.” Chris got everyone into position. Brit watched as Logan transformed into his character, the tension easing out of him. Fucking hell, he was truly amazing to watch.

“Damn,” Margot breathed from next to him just before Chris called for silence and then action. This time the shot went better, and once Chris called to cut, he seemed to have what he needed. Logan once again transformed, shooting Harris a murderous glare before stomping off the set. “Hell, I thought the storm was over.”

Brit shook his head. “Nope. It just took a break. I think this is one battle that is going to go on for the entire length of shooting.” It sure looked to Brit like this was a relationship that was doomed from the start. He checked the time and stifled a yawn as they got set up and ready. Brit got his instructions from Chris and took his place off to the side. All he had to do was walk in and sit down near where Logan and Harris were talking. A server would pass with a tray, and he was to take a glass and sip from it. He was just background dressing for this shot, and everything went fine once Logan returned until Brit sipped the drink and just about gagged. Still, he managed to hold it together and keep in character until the scene was over. “What the hell is this?” Brit asked, spitting and coughing as soon as the cameras stopped rolling.

Harris broke out laughing. “What did you do?” Logan demanded.

“Keep your panties on. I added lemon juice. It’s a joke. I thought it would be funny.” He continued laughing as Brit set down the glass, shaking his head.

“Let’s run that again,” Chris announced, and Brit glared as the glasses were switched out.
